The ASEAN Forum Event | Behind the Scenes Shot
It was one of the biggest events that me and my team covered for this year. The Bureau of Immigration called me 5 days before their 5 day event. At first I thought it was just a small event until they cleared the details of the requirements. They want a full photo and video coverage for the 13th DGICM and 5th AIIF to be held at New World Hotel, Makati Philippines. I said we could do that. Then, they called for the second time and told me that they want 20 albums with 100-150 photos in it, 60 copies of 8R group photos, and a full video coverage of the event. It doesn't end there; they also wanted two videographers and two photographers documenting everything at two venues. They want everything done on the last day of the event; the albums, the 20 copies of DVD with case and cover, and the 60 group photos. We have complied.
It was really funny to hear one of their officers say "We want to get Bonged!". I was really surprise to hear her say that.
I assembled a team that would be perfect for this kind of momentous event. I called up my buddy Rjay Tomas to be our main photographer. I contacted Ben Gendrano a.k.a. Emic or Reb, my back-up videographer, photographer, and graphics designer. Peter Allerey who is also a photographer, graphics designer and designated driver was a part of my team. Together, we enjoyed everything in this event; the pressure, the restless nights, the time crunch, the driving, hotel food, fashion, meeting up with important people, everything; because it was all worth it.
